| Classes visit the bookfair throughout the day when we make
our regular termly visit to John Gulson. This school runs our Jolly Roger
Book Club, a scheme that allows children to save money each week. They
believe that it encourages book ownership and contributes to literacy.
There are around 2,500 titles on show in the 54 trays of books that we bring to the bookfair. Like every school that we visit, John Gulson has chosen the categories of books that they would like to see. In addition to top quality picture books, novels, non-fiction and audio, they often include Bengali, Gujerati and Urdu dual language books in their selection. |
