20%...50%...100%?!
You can get the equivalent of 100% commission with Roving Books - but
we don't rip off the kids to do it.
When you get 50% or more commission from a bookfair, everyone is obviously
paying too much for cheap books, and the company selling them is making
a handsome profit.
By contrast, if we can buy a really good quality book and sell it for
99p then that's what we do, so the least well-off child has a chance of
going home with a good book.
We don't give a huge commission, but if you run the Xybacard scheme
it can reach 25%. If the cover price of a book you could use in class is
£3.99, and you can buy it from us at 99p, then how much is your commission
worth?
We don't think you'd fail your SATS by answering 100%.
We have a big selection of good quality bargain books - at least as
many to choose from as you might see at a conventional bookfair. Then we
have about another 2000 on top of the bargains, that we sell at cover price.
Of course if you're using a Xybacard then every book you buy is effectively
reduced by 10%, even bargains.
If you
still think you get a better deal from a conventional bookfair go ahead
and book them. But if you'd like to honestly know the real price of what
you and your kids are buying then call Roving Books on 01455-822192 or
